It is simoply creamy and delightful and its natual light nutty scent. Shea Butter is obtained by cold pressing of the fruits (seeds) of the karite tree. During the pressing of the butter, a liquid fraction appears as Shea Oil. Shea Oil offers an elegant feel, but also promotes anti-inflammatory properties due to its natural phytosterol content. Due to its high content of unsaponifiables, Shea offers protection of the skin against weather, sun and aging, elimination and superficial irritations. Shea is well known to assist dryness, dermatitis and eczema, and burns.
A note on this product: I personally use this product every evening in the winter time when our skin can get very dry and itchy. I use this shea butter on my hands face and chest and it makes a big difference with my dry skin. That being said this product is in its raw organic form with NO added perfumes, dye or chemicals and it does have a light smokey scent that may be off putting to some people.
